 Art

Why is art important?
From a very young age I was always involved in art, I really liked painting the walls of my room, coloring my notebooks and that is how my parents put me in painting workshops from a very young age to be able to develop my creativity freely and safely. One way of being able to distract myself was to visit the Santiago library, where many very enriching workshops were held in addition to entering an artistic faculty, in which I was able to develop my anxieties and frustrations a lot, it was not easy because I felt very blocked with very little spirit to do something, but I feel that art is something that always accompanies me and I manage to guide myself in very bad moments.

My best skill has always been painting, it is much easier for me to paint than to draw, I really enjoy seeing how each color works, giving my energy to work and keeping in mind that I can always learn new things.

I love contemporary painting, especially impressionism, I also really like the installations of the artist Louise Bourgeois, I find them incredible and they leave you a strange feeling when you see them. Contemporary art attracts me a lot, especially because it has a language and an understanding with the private that seems very close to me.

I have two artists that I love although I could not define which is my favorite but Francisco de Goya attracts me a lot what he achieves with his colors, the strength of his brushstrokes make his paintings seem with a very sencible atmosphere, it makes me see a story behind of each work. Another of my favorite references is Tracey Emin, who within the visual area achieved recognition for her honesty, for telling her personal experiences where she achieves a very close understanding with the spectator and in a way of reflection in each installation and work that she composes.
